The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection issued a warning about the withdrawal of children's toys from the popular KiK discount chain. The reason is that the permissible content of lead, which is harmful to health, has been exceeded.
Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) informed that it had received a notification from a well-known discount chain – KiK Textil Sp. z o. o. According to the announcement, the company found that the permissible lead content was exceeded, which poses a risk of poisoning, in the toy sold in stores – Tube with slime (article no. 1169248).
“The procedure to recover the products in question from consumers has been initiated. Announcements about the campaign are placed in KiK stores. Consumers are asked to return the product and collect the amount for its purchase,” the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection said.
