The US authorities are preparing plans to alleviate sanctions against Russia – informs Reuters

The White House was asked by the Department of State and the Finance Department to develop a list of sanctions that can be alleviated so that American officials could raise this topic with the Russians on the coming days, during wider conversations regarding the improvement of diplomatic and economic relations – conversations of the Reuters agency reported.

The offices responsible for sanctions are working on a proposal to abolish restrictions on selected entities and people, including some Russian oligarchs – the sources said, including an American official and another person familiar with the case. It is not clear what Washington could expect from Moscow in return.

The White House, the Department of State, the Finance Department or the Russian embassy in Washington have not yet responded to the request for commentary, “Reuters said.

The agency reminded that the Kremlin defined its relations with Washington as “below zero” during the rule of the previous president, Democrat Joe Bidenwho supported Ukraine weapon supplies and other help and imposed strict sanctions on Russia.
