Masovian policemen are conducting proceedings regarding illegal waste trading. In only one thread they have already detained 47 people and 29 were arrested. Now, in the act, they detained truck drivers and excavator operators who dropped and buried waste. At the company's headquarters, he was also suspected of organizing the entire practice.

“Policemen from the Department of Fighting Economic Crime of the Provincial Police Headquarters based in Radom under the supervision of the prosecutor from the Lodz Department of the Department of Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor consisting of inappropriate behavior with waste, including dangerous, fictitious waste trading, issuing and using unreliable documents, as well as treasury crimes ” – informs the Mazowiecka police in the communiqué

Investigators work out subsequent elements of the practice. In only one of the threads, 47 people were already detained, 29 of whom were arrested. At the same time, the property of nearly PLN 1 million was secured.

Last stops

The last people were detained on March 20 at the excavation in Nawojów Łużycki in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. Masovian policemen supported by the employees of the Chief Inspectorate for Environmental Protection from Warsaw and employees of the Provincial Inspectorate for Environmental Protection from Wrocław detained three truck drivers and two backhoecht drivers in the act, who dropped of waste and buried it in an unpoundable place for this not intended.

“During the activities performed, another truck with waste arrived and another excavator, whose drivers also fell into the hands of uniformed” – added in the announcement.

At the same time, in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, at the company's headquarters, police detained a 38-year-old suspected of organizing the entire criminal practice and the operator of the mixing waste machine.

Police supervisors and arrests

Nine men, aged 27 to 53, were brought to the prosecutor from the Lodz Department of the Department of Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor's Office, where they heard the allegations.

Article threaten the life or health of man or cause a reduction in the quality of water, air or the surface of the earth or destruction in the plant or animal world, is subject to the penalty of deprivation of liberty from one year to 10 years.

In view of five suspects, the prosecutor applied preventive measures in the form of police supervision, a ban on contacting other people and a ban on leaving the country. In turn, in relation to four suspects, including suspected of organizing the practice, the District Court for Łódź Śródmieście in Łódź applied detention on remand.
