Peruvian fishermen survived 55 days in the Pacific. According to local media, the ship was found in the waters of Ecuador, hundreds of kilometers from the port from which it sailed. The unit had a damaged engine, but flowed thanks to the sails made by the crew.

According to the Peruvian media, the fishing boat “Mi Juanita” set off on half of March 12 from one of the ports in the Pucusan District, on the middle coast of the country. Three days later, fishermen sent the last message informing about the engine failure.

Found after 55 days

On Thursday, the Ecuador authorities reported that the ship found itself in the territorial waters of this country. Ecuadorian tuna “Aldo” tuna fell on his trace. According to the information provided by the country's authorities, at the time of finding the unit on board, there were four Peru citizens and one Colombian.

Local media reported that the cutter flowed thanks to the fishermen made by fishermen. It has not yet been explained how the missing person was able to eat and satisfy the desire on the high seas for 55 days.

Previously, the missing families accused the authorities of Peru's passivity and abandoning actions to find fishermen. They reminded that from March they have repeatedly organized the search for their loved ones along the Peruvian shoreline. National Maritime Services took the search for the unit only in May.
