The Kontigo brand ends its operations in Poland. The online store will be open until December 15. Earlier, the drugstore chain, owned by the Eurocash holding, announced its intention to close all stationary branches on the Vistula River.

The Kontigo chain debuted in 2014, when the first stationary store was opened at Chmielna Street in Warsaw. Five years later, the chain already had 32 branches, and there were plans to open several dozen more.

The ambitious plans of the owners, the Eurocash Group, were thwarted by the pandemic, after which the decision was made to gradually close stationary stores. Last year, there were only 20 branches left, and this summer the last 15 were closed.

In July this year the chain announced that after closing stationary stores, it plans to expand in the e-commerce channel. However, it turns out that he will soon withdraw from the Internet.
