The report on the subcommittee investigating the Smolensk disaster is ready. This is a shocking document, said Deputy Minister of National Defense Cezary Tomczyk on TVN24. The guest of “Kropka nad i” stated that “after years of struggling with Antoni Macierewicz, public opinion must have everything on the table.”
In Wednesday's edition of “Kropka nad i” the deputy minister of national defense Cezary Tomczyk was asked, among other things, when Antoni Macierewicz would face consequences for his activities in the investigating subcommittee Smolensk disaster.
– It will depend on the prosecutor's office, but I understand that the question also concerns the issue of the report, so I would also like to say it clearly. He is ready, as I said he will be ready in September. Today, only work is underway to select specific notifications to the prosecutor's office, which means that criminal law attorneys are working on them and preparing them – explained the TVN24 guest.
He added that “the report is truly shocking.” – It will be presented to the public probably within the next two or three weeks. It will be completely public, apart from elements such as PESEL numbers or similar elements – he said.
– I believe that the public opinion, after years of struggling with Macierewicz, must have everything on the table and everything must be public – he emphasized.
– I told the Prime Minister (Donald) Tusk and Deputy Prime Minister (Władysław) Kosiniak-Kamysz that I will hold Antoni Macierewicz accountable. And I will do it, he noted.
Tomczyk: we have made sensational discoveries
Tomczyk explained that “this report is constructed in such a way that it is not a collection of opinions, because what Macierewicz did were some opinions, lies, half-truths.” – We focus on facts. A team of outstanding specialists, twenty, mainly military, who worked both with (Mariusz) Błaszczak(Tomasz) Siemoniakas well as Kosiniak Kamysz, i.e. people from military audit and aviation, worked on this report for nine months – he emphasized.
– 180,000 pages of material and five terabytes of data were analyzed. We have reached very, I think in some sense sensational, discoveries that will be presented to the public and it will undoubtedly be possible to prove beyond any doubt fraud, lies and manipulation in everything that Macierewicz has been doing for the last eight years – added the deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense .
– Notifications to the prosecutor's office will certainly not only concern Antoni Macierewicz, but a number of other people who took part in this procedure, because that's what it should be called – said the TVN24 guest.
