Ukraine. Military intelligence carried out “special operations” on Russian territory near the border

Ukrainian military intelligence HUR reported on Friday that a “complex of special operations” had been carried out on the territory Russiaat the border with Ukrainewhere a defensive point of Russian forces was attacked and the road to the military unit was mined.

HUR explained that its action was a response to the increasingly frequent cases of Russian sabotage in Ukrainian border towns. He also informed that the action was carried out after receiving information about the visit of the higher command of the Russian army to the Graivoronsky district in the Belgorod Oblast.

“During the operation, the scouts mined the only road along which the invaders were moving in the indicated section and attacked the Russian defense point. As a result of a fire attack using small arms and mortars, as well as the explosion of Ukrainian mines, the enemy suffered losses. The number of eliminated and wounded occupiers is being determined. ” – stated in the statement.

Meanwhile, on Friday, the authorities of the Belgorod Oblast, located in western Russia on the border with Ukraine, suggested that the local population evacuate and appealed to secure windows to protect against shell fragments. AFP recalls that this region has recently been the target of intense Ukrainian attacks.

“From today, we are ready to transport you to Stary Oskol and Gubkin, where you will stay in very comfortable conditions, in warm and safe rooms,” Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of the region, wrote on Telegram. He described the situation in the city of Belgorod as “difficult”.
