– What North Korean soldiers are doing, fighting on Russia's side against Ukraine, may pose a problem for South Korea in the future, said Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, who visited Seoul on Thursday.
After meeting with South Korean politicians Rust Umerov, he emphasized that North Korean troops not only provide equipment and people, but also actively support attacks on energy infrastructure Ukraine.
He pointed out that such actions are also a serious threat to South Korea, because North Korean troops are gaining experience in combat operations, “which may turn out to be an additional challenge for security in the region in the future.”

Both delegations also discussed joint actions to increase security and stability.
– We believe that our arguments regarding the need to increase cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea will lead to a tangible strengthening of the security of our nations and regions, Umerov emphasized.
