The American police took a number of actions related to the presidential election. A fence has appeared in front of government buildings, including the White House, and local business owners are securing their property for fear of riots. However, the services assure that there is no reason to worry.
The Secret Service, the service responsible for protecting the most important people in the country and their families, erected a metal fence around the White House, the Capitol, the complex of Treasury (Finance) buildings and the residence of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Security was also installed outside the convention center in West Palm Beach, Florida, where the former president was Donald Trumpthe candidate of the Republican Party in this year's elections, is organizing an election evening near his residence in Mar-a-Lago – media reports.

Police in Washington, D.C., announced that early Monday evening there will be road closures and parking restrictions in place around Howard University, where Democratic candidate Kamala Harris will be election night. Howard University is her alma mater.
The police assure: there is no reason to worry
Chief of Police in the District Colombia Pamela Smith said last week that no credible threats had been identified and there was “no cause for concern.” She announced that 3,300 officers would be on duty in the capital until election day. She emphasized that although protests are allowed, the police will respond to aggressive behavior.

The Washington Post reported that owners of some businesses and properties near the White House increased the number of security guards, boarded up doors and windows, and installed fences.
“There is anxiety in the city, although we do not expect the chaos we witnessed on January 6, 2021,” said Eric J. Jones, representing the association of owners of commercial, office and multifamily properties in Washington, quoted by “Newsweek”.
Storming the Capitol
After the previous presidential election, lost by Trump, supporters of the Republican on January 6, 2021 they attacked police and stormed the Capitol to prevent Congress from officially certifying the results. Earlier, Trump delivered a speech to his voters in which he urged them to go to the Capitol and “fight like hell.” According to a report by the Department of Justice USA the damage caused then amounted to over $2.8 million.
