The campaign team of Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate for US president, announced plans to involve former President Barack Obama in her campaign. He will take part in election rallies for the 27 days left until the election.
Former president Barack Obama will get involved in Kamala Harris's election campaign in the so-called swing states. On Thursday, he will travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the Northwest USA – the campaign team of the Democratic candidate announced on Friday.
“President Obama believes that the stakes in this election could not be higher, and that is why he is doing everything in his power to support the election of Vice President Kamala Harris,” Eric Schultz, an adviser to the former president, wrote in a statement.

Obama will get involved in campaigning for Harris
Harris' campaign team said Obama will participate in campaign rallies for the 27 days remaining until the November 5 election.
During the Democratic election convention in Chicago, Obama supported Harris' candidacy and warned against returning to power Donald Trump.
The Associated Press reminds that Obama, along with a group of other influential Democratic Party politicians, played an important role in behind-the-scenes efforts that convinced the president Joe Biden to withdraw from participation in the elections.
Harris and Obama have been friends for 20 years, and they met when the later president was running for senator. In 2008 Kamala Harris got involved in Obama's presidential campaign.
