USA. Donald Trump: I'm running to be president of all of America, not just half

– The discord and divisions in our society must be healed. We must heal them quickly. As Americans, we share a common destiny and a common fate. We rise together or we fall apart – said the former US president Donald Trump at the beginning of his speech at the electoral convention in Milwaukee.

Donald Trump has officially accepted the Republican Party nomination for president of the United States. “I'm running to be president of all of America, not half of America, because winning for half of America doesn't mean winning,” he said.

“I shouldn’t be here with you tonight. I shouldn’t be here,” Trump said, referring to the failed assassination attempt on his life. “I’ll tell you, it’s only by the grace of God Almighty that I’m standing here before you in this arena,” he added. Trump paid tribute to his supporter Corey Comperatore, who was killed by the gunman, by hugging a mannequin dressed in his firefighter’s uniform and kissing his helmet. “There’s no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends,” Trump said.

– War is now raging in Europe and the Middle East. The growing specter of conflict hangs over TaiwanKorea, Philippines and all of Asia, our planet is teetering on the brink of World War III, it will be a war like no other because of weapons, Trump said.

– I will end every international crisis caused by the current administration, including the terrible war Russia With Ukrainewhich would never have happened if I were president, he promised.

Trump also said that “other countries have been taking advantage of this for a long time” United States– Think about it, often these other countries are considered our so-called allies. They have been exploiting us for years, we lose jobs, we lose income, and they gain everything and they wash away our businesses and our people – Trump said.
