Robert F. Kennedy Jr. believes that US government agencies regulating the drug and food markets “have an interest in mass poisoning of Americans,” reports the Washington Post. Donald Trump's nominee for health secretary says frequent shootings are linked to antidepressants.
Nominated by Donald Trump for Secretary of Health Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said, among other things, that government agencies USAregulating the drug and food markets, “have an interest in mass poisoning of Americans”, and frequent shootings are linked to antidepressants – the Washington Post reported on Friday.
Kennedy is a known opponent of vaccines and a supporter of many conspiracy theories. In 2015, he compared the vaccination program to the Holocaust, and after the outbreak of the pandemic coronavirus claimed that the COVID-19 vaccination is “the deadliest vaccine ever produced.”
His theory about the connection between mass shootings and the use of antidepressants is popularized by such far-right figures as former Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson and congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Kennedy has repeatedly claimed that chemicals used to treat water cause problems with “child sexual identification, sexual confusion and gender confusion,” CNN reported.
Kennedy's bizarre theses
Kennedy maintained that the high mortality rate in the US among people infected with the coronavirus was a result of the authorities' decision not to allow therapy with ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine – drugs used to treat malaria and diseases caused by parasites. These preparations are not effective in the treatment of COVID-19, although such theories were promoted by right-wing media in the US – explained “WP”.
Another bizarre thesis proclaimed by Kennedy is the “ethnic targeting” of the coronavirus, which is supposedly programmed to spare the Chinese and Ashkenazi Jews, and especially maliciously attack white and black people.
The future Secretary of Health also claims that the 5G network is used to “control the behavior” of people and steal their data.
Kennedy nominated for Secretary of Health
Kennedy is the son of Robert F. Kennedy, the attorney general who was assassinated in 1968, and the nephew of President John F. Kennedy, who was also assassinated in 1963.
Trump announced his nomination on Thursday, which caused serious concern among the medical community, pharmacology and medicine scientists, and public health experts, the daily reported.
On Thursday, announcing his nomination, Trump wrote on X: “For too long, Americans have been crushed by the food industrial complex and pharmaceutical companies that perpetrate fraud and misinformation when it comes to public health.”
He promised to be led by Kennedy health department “will ensure that everyone is protected from the harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products and food additives that have contributed to the overwhelming health crisis in this country.”
