Addressing the thousands of people who came to Vatican at noon prayer, the Pope said: – While there are many people in the world who suffer from natural disasters and hunger, weapons are still being built and sold and resources are being wastedfueling wars great and small.

– Abandoning the elderly is a sad reality that we cannot get used to. For many of them, especially during these summer days, loneliness can become a burden difficult to bear, he noted.
