The grave of Francis, made of marble from Italian Liguria, set in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore is ready. The album has only the inscription “Franciscus” and the reproduction of the cross of the deceased Pope.
Vatican On Thursday, he published a photo of the grave in the Roman Basilica of Our Lady, in which Pope Francis would be buried on Saturday. It is located in a narrow niche, on the floor. The album appears according to the Pope's last will, only the inscription Franciscus.

The grave was made of marble from Italian Liguria, where the Pope's mother came from. Above the album there is a reproduction of the cross he wore on his chest.
The Pope will be buried in a narrow niche between the Pauline chapel, called the Salus chapel Populi Romani, where the image of the Mother of God is located, and the chapel of Sforza near the altar of Saint Francis.
