About the presence of soldiers from North Korea on the front in Ukraine Denys Popovych spoke on Radio NV. The analyst emphasized that there is no official information indicating the specific number of military personnel, but their presence is confirmed by Ukrainian front commanders.
War in Ukraine. North Korea sent Russia support
– North Korean soldiers are already in Ukraine (…) A few days ago, information appeared about the elimination of six North Korean officers. The only question is: how many and what functions do they perform? This has not been determined yet. They officially announced that they perform support functions and are engineers and technical specialists – he said.
Later in the conversation, Popovych focused on the possible involvement of larger North Korean forces in the war. According to a military expert, the presence of DPRK troops should be felt transport from 100 to even 200 thousand soldiers to the front. This would mean huge logistical problems for Russia.
– It is 10,000 kilometers from the DPRK to Ukraine. Only one railway line connects the Russian Federation with North Koreaa. They will have to build more lines and use sea communication. A large contingent will require large supplies of ammunition, equipment, evacuation of wounded and human reinforcements, which will cause many logistical problems – he explained.
