On Thursday, an air alert was announced throughout Ukraine. As established by military blogger Nikolaevsky Vanyok, Russia used six strategic bombers in the attack on the Dnepropetrovsk Oblast. The head of the military authorities of the region, Serhiy Lysak, informed about the massive Russian attack and two fires in the Dnieper.

Due to the threat, an air alert was announced throughout Ukraine. In the Lviv and Volhynian oblasts located on the border with Poland, it was canceled after more than two hours. In central Ukraine, the alarm lasted for over three hours. Poland due to the Russian attack picked up Polish and allied fighters.
As a result of the attack, emergency power cuts were introduced in several regions of Ukraine. They covered the following oblasts: Kiev, Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk.
“Since the early morning hours, the aggressor has been massively attacking the (Dnepropetrovsk) region. The consequences are being assessed. Currently, it is known that an industrial enterprise in Dnipro has been damaged. There have also been two fires in the city,” Serhiy Lysak, the head of the region's military authorities, announced on Telegram.
Six bombers
The usually well-informed Ukrainian military blogger Nikolaevsky Vanyok, who tracks Russian air force movements, reported that the attack involved six Tu-95MS bombers operating from Engels Airfield in Russia's Saratov Oblast. According to the blogger, the bombers fired missiles in two waves.
The missiles initially flew towards Kiev, then changed course towards Poltava, and after another maneuver, they hit the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
