100, 350, 500 billion dollars – among others, such USA costs for the Ukrainian defending against Russians were given by the two most important American politicians today – Donald Trump and Jd Vance. These costs have become an important topic overseas and it is hardly surprising. The more that the war in Ukraine is still ongoing and many people ask what this help gave at all. What the US gained by spending such huge amounts on the support of the state, not even a member NATO?
In fact, the value of help provided so far by Ukraine is much lower than often suggested by Trump and Vance – amounted to around $ 125 billion. However, this is still a huge money, four times of Poland's record expenses for defense in 2024. Therefore, Americans' doubts about the purpose of this money may still seem justified.
Why help Ukraine?
