Warsaw. A series of poisoning and death of a patient in a psychiatric hospital

On Saturday morning, the patient died at the Psychiatric Hospital at Nowowiejska in Warsaw, after a long rescue operation. At the same time, the emergency medical team fought for the life of the other person of the same department. A young man in a life -threatening state went to another institution. A few hours later, the staff called an ambulance again, this time to an unconscious 18-year-old and another patient with symptoms of poisoning.

From Friday evening, emergency medical teams went to the patients of the Psychiatric Hospital at Nowowiejska in Warsaw several times. According to our findings, the reason for the intervention was ailments indicating poisoning with drugs or intoxicating agents.

Fight for the lives of two patients

Around 5 am at Department III of the Psychiatric Hospital of the Nowowiejski Hospital, the staff began resuscitating a 37-year-old patient. Immediate help was also required by a second patient of the same ward, who lost consciousness almost at the same time. Two emergency medical teams intervened in the hospital.

After a long resuscitation, the 37-year-old died. A second patient, a 22-year-old man with an ambulance, was taken to the hospital emergency department near the hospital at Lindley. He was unconscious all the time.

Further interventions in this ward

After 8 in front of the hospital at Nowowiejska, ambulances appeared again. The reason for the call was almost identical to before: patients with symptoms of drug poisoning.

An unconscious 18-year-old woman was in the most serious condition. She was taken to the hospital at Lindley. The second person, i.e. a total of the fourth day of which was provided in the same ward, also had symptoms indicating serious poisoning with pharmacological or intoxicants.

Prosecutor and police in the hospital

Our unofficial findings show that during the last day an ambulance was called to the hospital at Nowowiejska, a total of six times. In addition to the interventions described above, on Friday evening the institution's staff asked for help to a patient with abdominal pain and a man with mental disorders.

We asked the Warsaw Police Headquarters about events in the Nowowiejski Hospital. – We are there, we received a notification in connection with the death of one person. The prosecutor also goes to the place – Rafał Rutkowski from the KSP press team told us before 11. The policeman pointed out that all the circumstances of the incident are explained and it is too early to provide detailed information at the moment.
