Warsaw. Attack on Marszałkowska. A man with stamped wounds in “very serious condition”. Stops

The man was wounded several times with a knife at Marszałkowska in the center of Warsaw. He managed to reach the emergency room at Poznańska, where the fight for his life began. Its condition is determined as very severe. On Friday around noon the police detained two people, in the evening the third.

The incident occurred on Thursday evening. As the reporter tvnwarszawa.pl learned Artur Węgrzynowicz, the man was attacked by an unknown perpetrator at Marszałkowska Street, at the height of one of the gastronomic premises. The injured person arrived at Poznińska Street, where the nearest emergency room is located.

The capital's ambulance also informed about the case. “After 22.03, we were ordered to the emergency room of the cardiology department of the Mazowieckie Bródnowski Hospital at 22 Poznańska Street, where a man aged 50-60 with three ties of forearm and a damaged artery came” – the Provincial Ambulance Station and Sanitary Transport “Meditrans” in Warsaw said on Facebook.

“Dramatic fight for the patient's life”

Our findings show that the man lost consciousness in the emergency room.

“Our rescuers together with the employees of the emergency room began a dramatic fight for the patient's life. After medical rescue operations with him, the patient in a very serious condition was taken to hospital” – reporters reported.

– The wounds on his body indicate that the man was defending himself against the attack of the attackers. Hence the blows that were directed to the forearms – Piotr Owczarski, spokesman for “Meditrans”, told TVN24 reporter.

“Criminal event”

The ambulance pointed out that the police were dealt with. The officers did not reveal the details on Friday morning.

– A criminal incident occurred. Activities in this matter are ongoing. The injured was taken to the hospital and is currently there – said about 9 o'clock our editorial office aspirant Jakub Pacyniak, press officer of the Warsaw I. District Headquarters.

When asked if the perpetrator or the perpetrator of the attack was wanted, he replied: “We are not talking about our actions.”

Stops, the victim was wanted

In the afternoon, a spokesman for the downtown police told us that two people, a woman and a man were detained in the case. Soon the police confirmed this information on social media, providing additional details. “It turned out that the attacked man is wanted,” the Warsaw Police Headquarters said on X.

As clarified, the attack took place around 10pm at Marszałkowska 83. “The accounts of witnesses show that the 47 -year -old was attacked with a knife by another man. As a result of this crime, the victim in a life -threatening state was transported to the hospital, where he stays to the present” – he added.

The police pointed out that both the victim and the detainees are Poles.

According to TVN24 reporter Katarzyna Rogala, the detainees are a 45-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman. “We unofficially learn from the witnesses of the event that the probable cause of the attack could be a dispute about a woman,” said the reporter. She also pointed out that both of them were arrested on Friday around noon at Marszałkowska, i.e. near the place where the attack took place.

In the evening a third person was detained who may be related to the case. – He is an older man aged 70 – confirmed Jakub Pacyniak from the downtown police. Actions with detained in the prosecutor's office are scheduled for Saturday.
