Three cars collided on Wał Miedzeszyński. The Mercedes hit two other cars, and its driver – according to the police – fled the scene.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening on Wał Miedzeszyński in front of Kadetów Street.
The fire brigade received a report about the incident at 7:36 p.m. – Three cars collided. A total of nine people traveled in the vehicles. There were no injuries in the incident. The road was completely blocked for the duration of the services' operations, said Junior Capt. Przemysław Kępczyk from the capital fire brigade.
Two fire brigades were on site.
The Mercedes was most damaged in the incident. He ended up on a pole in the green belt, which is why his front was smashed.
One person escaped
The police also carried out their activities.
– Preliminary police findings show that the driver of the Mercedes did not adjust his speed to the road conditions and hit the vehicle in front, which hit the next vehicle with the force of the impact. In total, a Mercedes, a Toyota and an Audi were involved in the incident – described Asp. Kamil Sobótka from the Warsaw Police Headquarters.
– The driver of the Mercedes left the scene – added the policeman. He said that the other participants in the incident had driving licenses and were sober. They did not require hospitalization.
