Warsaw. Delayed flight from Warsaw to Egypt. It was postponed many times

On Contact 24 We received information about a delayed flight from Warsaw to Marsa Alam in Egypt. The flight was originally planned on Saturday, June 29 at 7:40 p.m.. The departure time was to be changed several times over the weekend. Mrs. Klaudia, one of the tourists of the unlucky flight, contacted us.

– We had a planned flight by Smartwings to Marsa Alam from Chopin Airport. Closer to the flight time, it was changed several times. They attributed it to technical problems. Around 9 p.m. they said they were taking the plane from Prague. It turned out that it too had malfunctioned. At 1.30 they canceled our flight and moved it to the next morning. Later we received a text message from Rainbow (the organizer of the trip – ed.) with information about the planned flight at 1:40 p.m. We all showed up at 11:40 to check in our bags again. We went through all the gates and at 12.30 we were informed about an hour's delay. It was moved to 3:30 p.m., and literally a moment later to 4:30 p.m. – described Mrs. Klaudia in an interview with the editorial office of Kontakt 24.

Then another piece of information appeared. – Just before 5 p.m. we received information that, quote, “we have moved the engine from one plane to another to make it work and at 5 p.m. we will have information about the results of the engine tests”, we heard this message through a megaphone at the airport – our reader said. She admitted that on Sunday after 5 p.m. travelers were given vouchers for hotel accommodation.

But, as she said, the Sunday flight also did not take place, it was moved to Monday, July 1, at 4:00 p.m. – We have no confirmation whether this flight will take place. We were only going for a week, so we canceled. The travel agency said we could cancel and get a full refund. Apparently, people who are in Marsa Alam are waiting for our plane. They are also trapped and do not know anything – she commented.

And indeed, a tourist staying in Marsa Alam contacted the editorial office of Kontakt 24. He said that they were waiting for a delayed plane from Warsaw to be able to return to Poland. The travelers were to be taken back to their hotel.

– I received information from Poland that the Smartwings charter is to depart from Warsaw at 4 p.m. Polish time. We received water after six hours of waiting at the airport. In the morning, the buses arrived and we were taken to the hotel – said Mr. Krzysztof, who was waiting for the plane in Egypt.

We asked the travel agency and the carrier for clarification. At the time of publication, we had not received a response. According to Chopin Airport's online departures board, the Smartwings flight to Marsa Alam (flight number 3Z 7112) took off on site on Monday evening.
