During the night in Wawer, three passenger cars burned down on a private property. Firefighters extinguished the fire for several hours. There were no injuries. According to our unofficial findings, the cars could have been set on fire.
The fire occurred on Podkowy Street on the night from Monday to Tuesday. Firefighters reported that after 1 a.m. they extinguished the fire of three cars on the property and the building's facade. Three teams took part in the action. The firefighting operation lasted for about three hours.
Not all cars were next to each other
As tvnwarszawa.pl reporter Artur Węgrzynowicz managed to determine, the fire occurred on the property of a single-family house. The fire broke out in cars parked next to each other.
– As a result of this fire, the Toyota that was parked next to the building burned completely. The facade of this building was also burned. Additionally, the Volvo burned down and the Toyota that was parked next to the Volvo was also partially burned. The garage gate in front of which two cars were parked, i.e. a Volvo and a Toyota, also burned down – our reporter found out. – First, one of the Toyotas and the front of the Volvo started burning, but the cars were parked in different parts of the yard. Hence the suspicion that it may be arson, he concluded.
The services will investigate the causes of the fire.
A similar fire occurred in this area in spring 2019. Then at night in the area adjacent to one of the A fire broke out in a car repair shop in Wawer. Nine cars were destroyed, some of them burned completely.
