Good news for visitors. The Łazienki Królewskie garden will be partially opened next Saturday, July 20. The area was closed after a storm damaged the park trees. The Zone of Silence Festival and Chopin Concerts will return.

“This weekend (from Saturday, July 20 from 6 a.m.) we invite you to the partially open historic garden of the Royal Łazienki Museum. Currently, everyone in Łazienki is subject to safety regulations, after a storm that knocked down and damaged about 100 trees in our area,” the museum reported on social media.

You are not allowed to go outside the fenced area.

The area along Podchorążych Street and the Hippodrome will be unavailable to visitors, as well as a large section of the gardens from Aleje Ujazdowskie and Belwederska Street to Łazienkowskie Ponds. The area around the Chopin monument and the Palace on the Water are excluded from the ban. The remaining part of the gardens will be available to visitors. The gardens will be available from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The museum appealed not to go outside the fenced area, because it could be dangerous. Outside the fenced area, there is still a risk of falling branches. It is also forbidden to enter or sit on the lawns. “Staying on the lawn (sitting or walking) this weekend is only allowed in the places of the Zone of Silence and Chopin Concerts,” the museum noted.

It is also forbidden to play or sit on fallen stumps.

“After the storm, which damaged the trees on an unprecedented scale (approx. 100 fallen and scrap trees), the museum staff – with the support of external experts – did everything to open the historic gardens to visitors as soon as possible. After a few days, it was possible to clean up part of the extensive area. However, there are places where cleaning work and inspection of the trees must be continued. This requires closing some areas of the historic gardens to use. Entry to the fenced area is prohibited, as it poses a risk of danger,” the museum informed.
