“Everyone is equal before the law. Even Macierewicz,” wrote Tomasz Siemoniak, head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, on the X website. This is how he commented on the former minister's “raid” around Warsaw, which is being investigated by the capital police following journalists' reports. Macierewicz broke a number of traffic regulations and may lose his driving license.
On Saturday morning, X commented on the matter on the website Tomasz Siemoniakboss Ministry of Interior and Administration.
“The police have taken action regarding this 'rally' because everyone is equal before the law. Even Macierewicz, as you will eventually start to realize. This person is not only a threat to national security, but also, as the media indicates, to the safety of people on the road. Enough this madness!” – commented on the matter.
“Dangerous driving” of a former minister in the center of Warsaw
Officers of the Warsaw Police Headquarters “initiated investigations into the misconduct case” of the former minister – the police said on Friday evening, adding that information about the politician's “dangerous driving” in the center of Warsaw appeared in the media.
“Information has appeared in the media regarding a number of offenses committed by one of the former ministers. The dangerous driving allegedly occurred yesterday morning in the center of Warsaw. Due to the above, officers from the Road Traffic Department of the Capital Police Headquarters have already initiated investigations into the offense case” – the capital police announced on Friday evening.
The police did not say who the politician was.
On Thursday morning, “Fakt” journalists documented and described the ride performed by Antoni Macierewicz. They assessed that “it should result in the loss of your driving license.” Journalists were following him that morning from the headquarters of Radio Wnet in the Old Town. As they wrote, the politician allegedly broke the first road traffic law “while leaving the parking space.” The car was moving and he was “holding the phone to his ear.” Such conversation while driving may result in a PLN 500 fine and 12 penalty points, we read.
Later, Macierewicz – as “Fakt” showed in the photo – overtook another car on a pedestrian crossing (PLN 1,500 fine and 15 penalty points). At the end – a little later – he was supposed to cross the double solid line and enter the bus lane, for which, according to the daily, he could get a PLN 200 fine and 5 penalty points.
The police can take away your driving license after exceeding 24 penalty points, and Macierewicz, according to “Fakt” findings, collected up to 32 points.
