Warsaw. SPPN paid parking zone in Mokotów, subscriptions

On February 3, 2025, the paid parking zone in Warsaw will be extended to include a significant part of Mokotów. According to the district town hall, residents can now apply for district or area subscriptions.

Pursuant to the resolution of the Warsaw Council adopted at the end of August, SPPN will be expanded o the areas of Stare Mokotów, Wyględów, Wierzbno, Ksawerów, Sielec and parts of Sadyba. This will happen on February 3, 2025.

– The city is practically ready to handle it – assures Rafał Miastowski, mayor of Mokotów, quoted in the press release. – Traffic organization is being changed, modern parking meters are being installed, and residents can apply to ZGN for their subscriptions, which will enable them to park in their neighborhood – he points out.

“Mokotów is not made of rubber”

Currently, SPPN in Mokotów ends at Kukulskiego, Różana and Gagarina streets, and in less than a month it will be expanded to additional areas in Dolny and Górny Mokotów. From the west, its border will be a large part of the street. Żwirki i Wigury, from the east ul. Czerniakowska and a part of Powsińska, and from the south – a line of Woronicza, Wołoska, Domaniewska and Idzikowskiego streets.

Councilor of the Mokotów district, Marcin Stępień (KO), emphasizes that the extension of SPPN will limit the inflow of cars to the district. – We like our guests very much, but we must remember that Mokotów is not made of rubber. Therefore, we encourage visitors to travel around the district by public transport. The area covered by the new SPPN coverage is currently an attractive and free transfer area. As a result, residents returning after work often have nowhere to park. There are cars parked in front of their houses, people who come here from other parts of the city and change to the metro or tram to get to their offices – points out the councilor.

You can collect subscriptions

The Mokotów town hall informs that residents of the areas covered by the SPPN extension can contact the Real Estate Management Department for their subscriptions. They can choose from two options: a district subscription, which costs PLN 30 per year and allows you to park your car within a radius of 200 meters from your place of residence, or an area subscription for PLN 600 per year. This, in turn, “allows you to leave your car in a large area, noticeably larger than in the case of a regional subscription.”
