On Tuesday, around 9 o'clock, the climate activists of the last generation came out for another protest. – On Słomińskiego Street, a group of people sat on the road towards the Gdańsk Bridge. There is a lot of police around. The road is blocked at the height of the Gdańsk Railway Station – reports our reporter Klemens Lend.

His findings show that several people stuck their hands to the road. – The police have already removed several of them. Two remain glued – the reporter points out. Other protest participants are legitimized by officers.

– Movement towards Prague takes place in one lane – he adds. Initially, the passage towards the bridge was completely blocked.

On Monday, a march through three bridges

This is another protest. Let us remind you that on Monday activists arranged marches through three Warsaw bridges: Śląsko-Dąbrowski, Świętokrzyski and Poniatowski. They moved at a slow pace, assisted by the police. The end of the march turned into a blockade – the activists stuck their hands to the road of the third crossing. For several hours, drivers could not pass from the center towards Prague.

This assembly ended with the identification of several people. The police sent applications to the court to punish them for blocking the journey.

Why are they protesting?

The last generation has announced the blockade of Warsaw for several days. It coincided with the start of the final exams, but – as the organization emphasized – there was no plan to block the exam to the exam to high school graduates and high school graduates.

The last generation explains the blockades by the fact that the president of the capital Rafał Trzaskowski ignored their demands on public transport support and organizing a meeting with the Prime Minister.

“The last generation gave a choice to Rafał Trzaskowski, the leader of the presidential race and the President of Warsaw: either ahead of the postulates fighting with transport exclusion and will organize a meeting with the prime minister, or in his city there will be protests in the fire of the presidential campaign. The last generation from the beginning has two main demands: the transfer of funds planned for the expansion of highways and expressways for regional and local public transport, creating a monthly ticket for PLN 50 for such regional and local transport.
