Warsaw. The trial of Dorian S., accused of the brutal murder of 25-year-old Liza, begins

According to the prosecutor's office, specialist tests showed that Dorian S. is sane.

During the proceedings, investigators found that Dorian S. also stole two mobile phones, payment cards and a wallet from the woman. The perpetrator was quickly arrested. He was charged with sexual murder and robbery. He faces life imprisonment.

We have described the case of the murder of 25-year-old Liza many times on tvnwarszawa.pl. An exceptionally brutal crime took place on February 25 this year. The woman was found in the morning by the caretaker at the gate of the tenement house on Żurawia Street. She was not wearing any clothes and was taken to hospital during resuscitation.

In pursuit of the attacker, the police checked surveillance cameras and brought tracking dogs to the scene. Within several hours, police investigators carefully determined the route by which the perpetrator returned home from the crime scene.

The whole drama took place on the steps in front of the tenement house, where the perpetrator left a naked woman with no signs of life. Then it moved towards Constitution Square. On the way, the man threw away the victim's clothes and scattered items from her purse. On the way, he did some shopping and bought cigarettes. He got on the tram and went to the rented apartment on Rakowiecka Street, where he lived with his partner at the time.

The same day in the evening The 23-year-old was detained by the police. He was completely surprised by this. He was then charged with robbery, sexual offenses and attempted murder with a dangerous weapon. By court decision, he was arrested for three months.

As found out journalists of the “Uwaga!” program The perpetrator's partner testified that her boyfriend was a calm person, but when they argued, he could be short-tempered. That day, when he returned home in the morning, after a brutal attack on a strange woman, he told her that he had done something terrible. And then that he had a fight with someone on the street.

The victim of the brutal attack is 25-year-old Liza from Belarus. After five days of doctors fighting for her life, the girl died in the hospital. – She was a refugee from Belarus, running away from the Belarusian regime. Her home situation was very complicated because she was partly raised in an orphanage. She was taken away from her parents, said journalist and feminist Maja Staśko at the time. And she added: – She came to Poland and was looking for a safe space here, but she was beaten by her torturer. At the same time, people passed by and did not react.

After the woman's death, the prosecutor changed the charge against Dorian S. The man was charged with sexual murder and robbery.

As Piotr Skiba, spokesman for the district prosecutor's office, informed us, indictment in this case He was brought to the District Court in Warsaw in August. Dorian S. will be charged with murder. He faces life imprisonment. – The prosecutor's office verified other unresolved cases of a similar nature, but there is no basis to connect Dorian S. with other such cases in Warsaw and Poland. – he adds.

This crime shocked society. Many people wondered how it could happen in the center of Warsaw, on a weekend when the city is bustling with life. As we reported on tvnwarszawa.pl, surveillance cameras installed on Żurawia recorded two women who were walking along the street when the attack on the 25-year-old Belarusian woman took place. The women explained at the police station that they were not aware that they were witnesses of a crime or sex. They moved on.

After Liza's death, they were held in many cities, including Warsaw marches against violence against women.

Liza's funeral took place in March. The 25-year-old rested on white rose petals. The last farewell took place at the Northern Cemetery in Warsaw.
