Warsaw. The trial of five accused of gang rape on a student. First trial

The process of collective rape as a 20-year-old student began. He sits on the bench of the accused. The men were to use the victim during the journey on the Warsaw – Janki route last summer. The sixth accused is responsible for aid.

The first trial began on Tuesday morning at the District Court in Warsaw. Due to the nature of the case and the personal good of the victim, the judge turned off the openness of the trial.

She got into the car and lost consciousness

Two months earlier, in February, the District Prosecutor's Office in Pruszków sent an indictment in this case.

The rape was to take place on July 28, 2024 in an indefinite place during a car passing on the Warsaw – Janki route. A 20-year-old student was playing in one of Warsaw's clubs. There she was to meet a man claiming to be a Spaniard.

When she left the club in the morning, she got into the car, being convinced that she was to be taken home. There were six men in the car. During the journey, the woman lost her awareness she regained in Janki.

She escaped her persecutors, he came to the bus stop, where she asked the driver of a suburban bus for help, and he called the police. She took the perpetrators.

The accused faces up to 20 years in prison

According to the prosecutor's office, they are men between 20 and 30 years old who are citizens of one of the Latin American countries who stay in Poland legally, work and are between 20 and 30 years old.

The accused are accused of committing a crime with punishment of 3 to 20 years in prison.
