Miejskie Zakłady Autobusowe has opened offers in the tender for the purchase of new electric buses. Three bidders are interested: Solaris, Busnex (Yutong's representative) and Irizar.
MZA wants to buy 30 twelve-meter buses and 50 articulated buses.
In the first task, offers were submitted by: the Spanish Solaris Bus & Coach (over PLN 97.7 million), Busnex – the representative of the Chinese Yutong (over PLN 91.2 million) and the Spanish Irizar (over PLN 84.1 million). Two companies are interested in the supply of articulated buses: Solaris (over PLN 227.5 million) and Irizar (over PLN 222.46 million).
What is new is that all new buses will not have pantographs. They will be loaded using plugins.
New buses from various manufacturers are constantly being tested in the capital, including those that submitted offers. On the capital's streets tThere is an electric Irizar bus in Estovoas well as the electric Mercedes-Benz eCitaro. The Solaris Urbino 18 Hydrogen also returned to testing.
