The developer, implementing a housing and service investment at RadzymiĆska Street in Praga North, cut out two healthy and prosperous trees. He did it against the decision of the district authorities, which oak and chestnut ordered to overdo it. The deputy mayor announced the imposition of an administrative penalty on the investor.
Krzysztof Michalski (agreement for Prague) alerted about cutting out two healthy and prosperous trees on Monday.
“We lost two valuable trees as residents today – on the plot at 14 RadzymiĆska Street, there was a cutting of, among others, a beautiful pedunculate oak and chestnut, which was to be preserved” – Michalski wrote in social media.
Illegal felling
A developer investment with flats and service premises on the ground floor is to be built on a narrow plot at RadzymiĆska.
As councilor Michalski pointed out, the developer removed the trees contrary to the administrative decision of the Praga PĂłĆnoc District Office of February 14, 2025, which ordered the investor to transplant both trees. On Monday, officials and police came to the place. However, this did not stop the workers. Peduncular oak with a 205 cm trunk circumference and white chestnut (114 cm in the circumference) were removed and cut into pieces.
Deputy Mayor of the District Sylwester Klimiuk announced that in connection with the “gross violation of the administrative decision” he took action to “impose an administrative penalty of approx. PLN 50,000 – in accordance with the Act on nature protection”. In addition, the developer must plant eight for cutting out two trees. “The investor will be obliged to perform substitute plantings – in relation to at least 5: 1 for oak and 3: 1 for chestnut,” Klimiuk pointed out.
We asked Budrem why she did not comply with a decision ordering to transplant trees and cut them out. We are waiting for an answer.

Controversial apartment building
“Gazeta StoĆeczna” informed about the controversial investment at the RadzymiĆska and Folwarczna corner. Budrem tried to start construction five years. As “StoĆeczna” reminds, the voivode repealed the building permit decision twice. It was only the third time that he left her in force. The neighbors of the investment appealed to the Provincial Administrative Court, which also maintained the last decision of the voivode. Currently, the case is waiting for its turn in the Supreme Administrative Court.
The planned investment of Budrem is an apartment building with an irregular shape, which is to be located next to the RadzymiĆska 12 building and pressed deep into the narrow yard along the buildings of Folwarczna Street. It will be moved away from her just over nine meters. According to the regulations, the minimum distance is eight. The body of the new building is to take a cascade form: from six floors at RadzymiĆska, through a fellow -height connector, two and one floor, and finally to finally reach the height of three floors. Due to the insufficient amount of daylight, the premises on the ground floor are to perform a service function.
