Waste. How much rubbish is produced in Europe? Eurostat counted how many EU residents produced garbage

In 2023, the average amount of municipal waste generated per capita of the Union was 511 kilograms. This is a small, because by 4 kilograms, a decrease in 2022 – according to Eurostat data. According to Eurostat data in 2023, at the level of the entire European Union, 48 percent were recycled with over 2.2 billion tons of municipal waste produced municipal waste.
