According to forecasts, the temperature will be extremely high in the coming days. In the northern states: Hariana, Pendjab, Rajastan and Gudżarat thermometers can show values above 40 degrees Celsius. Already on Monday, the inhabitants of Delhi saw 39 degrees C.
According to meteorologists, global warming and climate change meant that extreme temperatures appear earlier and last longer. Usually the heat waves haunted the northern regions of India at the end of April, not at its beginning.

In connection with the heat, the Indian Institute of Meteorology issued a yellow alert for Delhi, orange for rapżastan and red for Gudżarat. Local authorities appealed to the residents to avoid being in the sun, wearing airy clothes and putting on a headgear.
