The weather has begun to change significantly. Tuesday is expected to be rainy throughout Poland, with continuous and heavy rainfall in many regions, but more rain is expected towards the end of the week. The atmospheric front will sweep away the hot air. In parts of the country, temperatures will drop below 15 degrees Celsius.
– The weather in Poland in the next 24 hours will be shaped by a low from northern Scandinavia, with a zone of a wavy, cold atmospheric front. A much colder, moist mass of polar air will flow in – informs tvnmeteo.pl weather forecaster Damian Zdonek.
At night, residents of Silesia, Małopolska, Mazovia, Łódź and Świętokrzyskie regions can expect heavy rainfall. On Tuesday, it will be cloudy with continuous, temporarily heavy rainfall in the east of the country. Up to 5-15 liters of water per square meter will fall there. In other regions, the cloudiness will be high and there will be local showers of up to 2-10 l/m2, and there is also a possibility of storms. Maximum temperature will be from 17-18 degrees Celsius in the east to 20-21 degrees Celsius in the rest of the country. Wind will be moderate, westerly.
Gigantic temperature differences
Wednesday looks quite sunny. Light and passing rain will occur only in the region of Western Pomerania and the Lubuskie Land of the country, where during the day the cloudiness will increase to total. The thermometers will show from 17 degrees Celsius in Western Pomerania to 23 degrees Celsius in Podkarpacie. The wind will be moderate, gusty in the west, southwest.
Thursday will be sunny in eastern Poland. In the west and partly in the centre of the country it will be cloudy with rainfall of up to 5-10 l/m2, and in the mountains up to 20 l/m2. The maximum temperature will reach from 14 degrees Celsius in Lower Silesia to 26 degrees Celsius in the Podkarpacie region. There will be a weak and moderate wind, in the east from the south, and in the western half of the country from the north-west.
On Friday, it will also be cloudy with rain in the western part of the country and partly in the center. It will fall there to 5-25 l/m2. More clearings will appear in the east, but locally there may be short showers and thunder. Thermometers will show from 13 degrees Celsius in Lower Silesia to 27 degrees Celsius in Subcarpathia. The wind will be weak and moderate, in the east from the east, and in the western half of Poland it will blow from the northwest. In the mountains it will blow strongly, with gusts of up to 70-80 kilometers per hour.
Storms and downpours
Saturday will bring cloudy weather with rain. Locally in the east and central Poland there will be storms with heavy rain. Maximum temperature will reach from 16-17 degrees Celsius in Lower Silesia to 21-22 degrees Celsius in Suwałki Region. Wind in the eastern half of the country will be moderate, blowing from the east, and in the west it will be strong, northerly.
