What will the weather be like on All Saints' Day? Is there a chance that the relatively warm, sunny weather brought by high pressure systems over Poland will persist? Check out the latest forecasts.

The weather over Poland is currently shaped by high pressure systems and everything indicates that it will remain so until the end of the month. However, the thing about autumn high temperatures is that forecasting them can be difficult, and weather conditions in one week may be completely different from those in the next.

Rotten high pressure and fog

The upcoming weekend will be marked by generally quite sunny weather – although the mornings will be cloudy and foggy, clear weather will appear throughout most of the country during the day. In addition, the temperature will be very high as at the end of October. Such conditions will persist due to warm and dry tropical air masses that will flow to Poland from southern Europe and Africa.

Next week, advection, i.e. horizontal air flow, will probably change its direction to the west. Then slightly cooler and much more humid air of polar origin will flow to Poland, the source of which will be the Atlantic. At the same time, a vast high pressure will develop over Central Europe, stretching from the Atlantic to the Black Sea, which after a few days of stationing may take the form of the so-called rotten boom. It is characterized by heavy and completely cloudy, heavy mist and fog, and local drizzle. There is a high probability that this type of weather will last until the end of October.

Weather for All Saints' Day 2024

In the light of today's model calculations, on November 1, Poland will be in a field of increased pressure. In the morning, heavy and completely cloudy weather is forecast, with mist and locally fog. However, the sky will clear up during the day. In the morning, thermometers may show about 2-6 degrees Celsius, while during the day the temperature may rise to a maximum of about 9-13 degrees Celsius. It shouldn't rain in most areasalthough light rain or drizzle may occur in some places in the north of the country.

The “rotten high pressure” will mean that after November 1, the values on thermometers will drop only slightly. However, the perceived temperature will decrease – the humid air will make us cold. Previous model calculations indicatedthat November 1 was supposed to bring us cloudy weather, and locally in the west of the country also rainfall. After All Saints' Day, there was to be a significant cooling with light rain and snow in eastern Poland.
