Cold and moist air flows into Poland, filled with clouds carrying wet snowfall. During the day, snow cover of up to five centimeters may occur in Poland, and up to 10-20 cm in Pomerania and Warmia.
Poland remains under the influence of a small but very strong Charly low-pressure vortex. Its center will remain in the region of north-eastern Poland and Lithuania for the next two days.
– The vortex directs cold and moist Arctic air into our region of Europe, filled with clouds, thick in some places, carrying wet snowfall. In this moist mass, a large snowfall zone was formed over the Baltic Sea, which entered northern Poland at night – the tvnmeteo.pl forecaster reported on Saturday. She added that the zone “covered eastern and central Pomerania with heavy rainfall.”
According to the forecaster tvnmeteo.pl, the rainfall zone will advance into the country during the day. – By noon it is expected to reach the center of Poland with continuous snowfall, and by the evening it will be based on the Sudetes and the Carpathians. – noted Arleta Unton-Pyziołek.
