Kennedy Nzechukwu needed less than three minutes to defeat Ćukasz Brzeski at the gala UFC 310 in Los Angeles. The Pole, who was looking for a breakthrough after the last defeat, lost again and it is possible that he will soon say goodbye to the best federation in the world.
For Brzeski it was the sixth time fight in the UFC and his fifth defeat, the third of which in the first round. The Pole started his adventure with two defeats on points. First by split decision with Martin Buday, then by unanimous decision with Karl Williams. In the third fight, Brzeski was defeated by Waldo Cortes-Acosta with hook punches.
The breakthrough came in April this year, when the Pole defeated Valter Walker by unanimous decision of the judges. However, the good streak did not last long. Three months later, at UFC 304, Brzeski lost again in the first round. This time with Mick Parkin, who crashed ours player blows.
Another defeat for Brzeski
It was similar on the night from Saturday to Sunday. Although the fight was even in the first seconds, Nzechukwu's advantage began to emerge as the round progressed. 15 seconds before the end of the first fight, the 32-year-old player landed a series of punches.
While the left hook flew past Brzeski's ear, the right hook landed on his jaw, knocking the Pole off his feet. Nzechukwu did not waste a great opportunity, he attacked the Pole and, striking more blows, forced the referee to stop the fight.
For Nzechukwu, it was only his second UFC heavyweight fight. The Nigerian made his debut in October, when he also defeated Chris Barnett in the first round. Nzechukwu moved up to heavyweight after losses to Dustin Jacoby and Ovince St. Preux in the light heavyweight category.
