Anynet+ is a feature based on the HDMI-CEC standard that allows communication between devices connected to the TV via HDMI. In practice, this means that you can also control a soundbar or console with the TV remote control. Are you turning on the TV? The remaining devices will start automatically. Do you adjust the volume? You don't have to reach for the soundbar remote control.
How to enable Anynet+?
It's simpler than you might think. Enter the TV settings menu, find the “System” or “General” tab and the Anynet+ option there. Just switch the slider to “Enabled” and you're ready to go. The TV will automatically detect compatible devices connected via HDMI.
What should you remember?
First of all, each device must support the HDMI-CEC standard. In the case of Samsung equipment, this is certain, but if you have devices from other brands, check their specifications to see if they support this standard. The same technology is also available in other TVs, but it has different names. For example, Bravia Sync u SonyViera Link at Panasonic or SimpLink at LG.
It's also worth checking that you're using the right HDMI cables. Old cables may not support all functions. Luckily most modern HDMI cables should not cause problems.
Is it worth using?
If you have more than two devices at home RTV – definitely yes. Anynet+ not only makes everyday use of the equipment easier, but also saves energy – the system will automatically turn off unused devices. An additional bonus is the end of searching for missing pilots.
