Bullying is a peer violence, insults and insulting, it is mocking and unpleasant jokes, it is excluding from the group. There is the latest report on this subject, which shows how often and how specifically this torment can look.
Mercedes Szulen, a high school graduate, throws all bad emotions in the dance room. Dance is everything for her. – I had many problems and with self -caution and with eating disorders – admitted Szulen, dancer, finalist “You can dance – just dance!”.
– Bullying took place, it was not very strong, it could also be due to my feelings in my head that I saw people at school did not speak to me, they avoided me through my hair, other makeup – she admitted.
In the program she openly talked about her experiences. She also showed scars after self -harm. Drugs and psychotherapy helped. The dancer wants to encourage others, including people who experience bullying, i.e. peer violence.
“The common denominator is repeatability, intentionality”
What is bullying? – These are a variety of forms of violence, whose common denominator is repetition, intentionality, imbalance of forces and the presence of witnesses – explained Żaneta Rachwaniec, a psychologist from the “wings” foundation.
According to the latest report on this phenomenon in secondary schools, 62 percent of students declare that they are experiencing bullying at least sometimes.
It's not just pushing, beating or closing in rooms. – It can of course be a verbal and mental form, when such a person is challenged, he is offended, he is often offended by his loved ones or excludes from joint activities – pointed out Dr. Radosław Kaczan, a psychologist at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
These are the most common experiences indicated by students: jokes in a way that you do not like, dissolve rumors or lies or excluding from the group.
Zuzanna, a third -class student of the Film High School, told us how she, helping her friend experiencing bullying, felt excluded herself. “Every day of getting into school is fatal,” she emphasized. “It's just a terrible experience,” she admitted.

Four percent of students admitted that they are tormented every day
In the school studies, almost four percent of students said that they were tormented every day. Statistically, there is a student experiencing regular and daily violence in every class studied.
– We pay attention to students, those who would possibly hate, experience violence that they had the courage to report such situations – said Anetta Święch, director of the 4th High School in Tarnów.
