Symptoms usually appear from 6 to 12 hours from the moment of poisoning. Most patients initially complain about diarrhea, vomiting and headache, some have excessive sweating, numbness or muscle and joint pain. Later, there are stranger symptoms: a metallic, burning taste in the mouth or a feeling that the warm surfaces are icy cold. The skin begins to itch intensively, the heart is irregularly beating. Most symptoms remain for several days, but some may persecute patients for weeks or months, sometimes longer. Sometimes they come back with increased strength, for example after drinking alcohol.
