On Friday, May 2, a white and red flag hung over the capital of Qatar. Tomasz Sadziński, the head of the diplomatic mission in Dosze and the initiator of the event, revealed in an interview with tvn24.pl, from where the idea for such a way to celebrate the holiday.

On May 2, we celebrate two important holidays – Flag Day Of the Republic of Poland and the Day of Polonia and Poles abroad. For Poles living outside the country, it is an opportunity to emphasize their national affiliation. The celebration of these celebrations is also a way to promote Polish history, symbols and cultural achievements in various parts of the world.

This year, one of such places was the capital Runny nose. Thanks to the efforts of the embassy, ​​we managed to hang a white and red flag on the balloon, and then the inhabitants of Dosze could admire it over the city.

How did the Polish flag hung in Qatar?

Tomasz Sadziński, the head of the Dosze Dosze and the initiator of the event, in an interview with the editors of TVN24.pl revealed how the idea for such a way of celebrating the holiday appeared. During the concert of Polish artists in the capital of Qatar, he was to meet Mr. Paweł Kozarzewski. He is the author of photos and recording from this unique moment.

– It came out a bit accidentally. It turned out that we have a person in Dosze who professionally deals with drone service. Therefore, the idea appeared to get a Polish flag to one of the balloons. A lot of people worked to do it possible – said Sadziński.

– In addition to the fact that the flag was additionally hung, we managed to get permission to record the moment that made such a great effect – emphasized the head of the diplomatic mission.

He also revealed that the flag was 21 meters long and comes from the Polish school in Dosze.

We also managed to talk to Mr. Paweł (author of materials). – Obtaining the necessary consents (for the event organizations – ed.) Was difficult. The ambassador moved heaven and earth, but eventually he succeeded – he argued.

Mr. Paweł has lived in Qatar for 6 years, during the conversation he noted that the celebration of state celebrations is “very important” for him.

As our interlocutors passed on, the flag will also be released on Qatar on Saturday, on the occasion of the May 3 Constitution. The event will take place at 9 am Polish time.
