Rocket sets of this type, developed in Kiev, are included in the Ukrainian armed forces from March 2021. The production of Neptunes was a response to Russian Crimea's annexation In 2014, resulting in the loss of the Navy by Kyiv. Ukrainian troops then faced the need to quickly strengthen the protection of the Black Sea coast.

Application of Neptune missiles

The Neptune complex was developed in 2018 by the Łucz design office. The advantage of this weapon is universality – these are the first Ukrainian missiles, which can be launched from both coastal rocket sets, ships and aircraft.

According to the Ukrainian military portal Mil.Uin.UA, RK-360 Neptune rocket sets are a team of maneuvering rockets in the airspace and land space. They include anti -ship shells designed to neutralize marine goals such as cruisers, destroyers, frigates, corvettes and landing ships, as well as land missiles designed to destroy tanks and other military vehicles. The maximum range of bullets is about 280 kilometers, but there are modifications that cover a distance of 400 kilometers.

Neptune missiles can be guided at many purposes or one, to which each of the Neptunes follows a different route, and then attack from different directions. Just before the attack, the projectile reduces the flight to about three meters, which hinders the operation of the opponent's anti -aircraft defense systems.
