Wołomin, Białołęka. Left cigarettes and illegal alcohol in a car workshop

190 liters of illegal alcohol and over 130,000 cigarettes without excise duty were found by the police in a car workshop in Białołęka and on the property in Wołomin. In this second location, to get inside, the help of firefighters was needed. The 71-year-old heard allegations.

Policemen from the Warsaw VI Police District Headquarters were interested in a man from Białołęka, who was to provide “left” cigarettes and alcohol to local traders. They planned a search in the place of residence of the 71-year-old and on the plot in Wołomin.

Cigarettes in the cache

– In a car workshop in Białołęka, police found over 41,000 pieces of illegally made cigarettes and 90 liters of transparent liquid with the smell of alcohol. Some of the tobacco products were hidden in a specially prepared cache – said Commissioner Paulina Onyszko from the Warsaw VI Police District Headquarters.

On the property in Wołomin near Warsaw, policemen engaged firefighters to their actions. In the utility room, to which the door was opened by force, and in a car belonging to the 71-year-old criminal found another 100 liters of the same liquid and cardboard boxes filled with cigarettes.

Allegations for the 71-year-old

– In total, during these operations, they secured 190 liters of counterfeit alcohol and over 130,000 pieces of counterfeit cigarettes. They stopped the man – the policewoman pointed out.

She added that the 71-year-old was charged with excise recedure, for which he may face a fine, deprivation of liberty or both these penalties, and the development and spilling of spirit drinks without the required permit to sell, which in turn is punishable by a fine, restriction of liberty or a year of prison.
