The video published on the Internet purports to show North Korean soldiers receiving Russian uniforms and equipment at the Sergeevka training ground in the Russian Far East. The recording was published by CNN and received from the Ukrainian side. At the same time, the American administration confirmed that North Korean soldiers are actually in Russia.

– We still need to sort out the facts, we will inform you about the details later. We are still looking at it, but yes, there is evidence that there are North Korean troops in Russia, said Lloyd Austin, US Secretary of Defense. He added that what exactly they do there is still being analyzed.

The head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarifies that there are no North Korean soldiers on the front in Ukraine for now.

– They, in their mass, have not yet reached the front. According to my information, they are still in the Far East, and I hope that South Korea will draw conclusions from this and will want to increase its assistance to Ukraine – commented Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski.

For now, South Korean politicians are sharing details that the country's intelligence has.

“We realized that the Russian army is recruiting many Korean speakers and confirmed that the Russian army is training the North Korean army in the use of military equipment, including the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles,” said Lee-Seong-Kweun, a member of the South Korean National Assembly. on behalf of the People's Power Party.

According to Seoul, North Korea has already sent three thousand troops to Russia to support the war with Ukraine, but this is not the end. Pyongyang allegedly promised the Russians a total of 10,000 uniformed personnel, and their deployment is expected to end in December.

“Russian instructors assess that the North Korean army has excellent physical conditions and morale, but lacks understanding of modern warfare such as drone attacks, so deploying them on the front line could result in many casualties,” Lee-Seong-Kweun said.

A bilateral NATO-South Korea meeting will be held early next week. On October 21, Mark Rutte spoke by phone with the president of this country. He said North Korea's involvement in Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine would represent a significant escalation.

According to the Finnish president, the reports prove Moscow's weakness. – You can just see how desperate Russia is. Ask anyone in the world a question: Would you like North Korean soldiers to fight on your side? The answer will probably be “no,” said Alexander Stubb, president of Finland.

However, this should not be taken lightly. In his opinion, allies should seriously think about their response.

– If Russia won this war, the consequences would be terrible not only for Europe, but for the rest of the world, because it would send a signal that, with military power, you can break all possible international rules and regulations, and you can gain territory and destroy the sovereignty of a state – pointed out Alexander Stubb.

Volodymyr Zelensky announced last week that North Koreans would fight alongside Russia. The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) also wrote about it, citing “The Washington Post”.

“On October 11, The Washington Post reported that officials from South Korea and Ukraine said that North Korean soldiers were cooperating with Russian forces in Ukraine,” we read on the website of the Institute for the Study of War. “The Ukrainian official reportedly added that 'several thousand' North Korean infantry personnel are training in Russia and that the Russian military command could deploy them on the front lines in Ukraine by the end of 2024 or in Russian border areas,” ISW wrote.

In June this year, Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un signed a treaty in which both countries declared military cooperation, and the Americans reported large arms deliveries to Russia from North Korea. One of the rockets produced there hit an apartment block in the Kiev region in August, killing a teenager and his father.

According to experts, in exchange for weapons, Kim Jong Un is to receive help from Russian engineers in expanding his space program and launching reconnaissance satellites.
