Prime Minister Viktor Orban spoke on Wednesday about the future of Hungary in the European Union during a forum organized by the Fidesz party. – If in 2004 the EU looked like it looks now, it is not certain whether we would join her – he said.

Against the accession of Ukraine
Also on Wednesday, on his Facebook profile, Orban summed up the course of the forum once again, appealing to the Hungarians that during the ongoing VOKS 2025 referendum they would talk against accession Ukraine to the EU.
– Ukraine's accession to the EU for several dozen years will decide about the future of Hungary (…), we can lose everything we have worked for the last 15 years – the prime minister wrote, adding that Ukraine's entry to the community means “no end with agricultural payments, a reduction in municipal fees and family benefits.”
