The allegations of causing fire and attempted the murder of four people by cutting off their only escape path were heard by a 36-year-old from the Tatra poviat. It was supposed to set fire to a wooden house in Zakopane. The woman was temporarily arrested for three months.

As reported on Thursday, a press officer of the Zakopane police staff aspirant Roman Wieczorek, in the morning a few days ago a fire appeared in a wooden single -family house at the Zakopane housing estate. Firefighters conducting the firefighting operation evacuated four people from the burning building with ladders and booms. Residents did not suffer serious injuries, but the wooden building was damaged by fire and water.

“The expert in the field of firefighting participating in investigators at the fireplace place indicated that other people could have contributed to the arson,” the Police Zakopane said.

Temporary detention for the suspect

Officers, based on the analysis of the collected materials, selected a suspected person – a 36 -year -old resident of the Tatra poviat. It was stopped the day after the fire.

“The woman was brought to the prosecutor's office, where she heard the charge of causing a fire and attempted the murder of several people by cutting off their only escape path,” he stated. After the interrogation, she was brought to a court, which at the request of the prosecutor applied a 36-year-old preventive measure in the form of detention on remand for a period of three months.

The woman has a prison sentence from 15 years to life imprisonment.
