In Zalesie Górny near Piaseczno, the driver of a passenger car stopped the car at a railroad crossing because he wanted to take a picture for his beloved. The vehicle got stuck because the tolls fell, and the train was approaching the journey. A random witness of the event helped.

On March 18, 2025, officers of the Piaseczno roadway were called to an unusual event at the railway crossing in Zalesie Górny at ul. Pioneers. – Initially, the notification sounded serious: “broken horned and drunk driver stopped by witnesses of the incident”. However, when the officers arrived, the reality turned out to be even more surprising – said the commissioner Magdalena Gąsowska from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Piaseczno.

He stopped the car at the crossing, the tolls fell

On the spot, the police found a 44-year-old managing BMW. It turned out that the man was sober. – He decided to stop before traveling, not because the traffic lights forced him to do so – on the contrary. He stopped voluntarily, turned on the emergency lights and reached for the phone, because he wanted to take a picture for his beloved – explained subcommitter Gąsowska.

As a policewoman reported, the BMW driver did not react trumpet other drivers who bypassed him. At some point, the tolls left, and the 44-year-old got stuck with his car at the crossing.

– The accidental witness of the whole incident was not aware of what happened, so he decided to go to help the driver of BMW, breaking one of the tolls and allowing the man to leave the railway crossing. The whole event was registered by city monitoring cameras, which shows that only a moment later a train entered the journey – a spokeswoman for Piaseczno policemen.

The 44-year-old was fined in the amount of PLN 2,000 and 10 penalty points. He was to admit that this was “the most expensive photo he had ever taken”.
