The election campaign before the presidential elections is heating up. Karol Nawrocki is looking for voters far to the right, putting the issue of the Volhynia massacre on a knife's edge. This was met with a reaction from the president of Ukraine. Meanwhile, the right side of the political scene is already crowded, because Grzegorz Braun enters the game, dividing the Confederation, which fielded SÅ‚awomir Mentzen. Meanwhile, RafaÅ‚ Trzaskowski focuses on meetings – not only with voters, but also with foreign personalities. There are two candidates on the left: Magdalena Biejat and Adrian Zandberg.
– 16 voivodeships, 10 thousand kilometers, over 150 places – announced the mayor of Warsaw, RafaÅ‚ Trzaskowski. This is RafaÅ‚ Trzaskowski's plan for the coming weeks of the election campaign that is officially starting now. In the morning he left Warsaw for several towns in Podlasie.
– One of the slogans we will encourage is “Buy Polish”, buy Polish products, because we all want to promote Polish companies – said RafaÅ‚ Trzaskowski. It was a declaration made at the dairy plant. The candidate also worked for a company producing and selling agricultural machinery. He also encouraged people to buy Polish food products after shopping in a local store.
Earlier, RafaÅ‚ Trzaskowski met with Georgette Mosbacher. “You are always welcome in Warsaw,” he wrote on the Internet.
Donald Trump's associate stated in an interview that Trzaskowski is welcome in Washington. This is another meeting of the Civic Coalition candidate with a person close to Donald Trump – he was previously visited by defense advisors.
Zelensky with a message to Nawrocki
RafaÅ‚ Trzaskowski also met with the president of Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelensky did not meet with Karol Nawrocki, but in an interview for four editorial offices, including TVN24, he was brutally honest with Nawrocki – if Ukraine is left alone, without help, the war with Russia will move to Poland.
– Mr. Nawrocki must start training now, because the moment may come when he will have to take up a gun – warns the president of Ukraine.
Zelensky clearly felt blackmailed by Nawrocki, who repeated in the form of an ultimatum that unless the Volhynia issue was resolved, he did not see Ukraine in NATO or the European Union. – Until our issues are resolved, I do not see the future of Ukraine in the European Union and NATO – said Karol Nawrocki, president of the Institute of National Remembrance.
– Historical matters are important, I am glad that the exhumations have started. I'm focusing on safety at the moment. This is the most important thing today. If I meet with President ZeÅ‚enski, this is what I talk about, said RafaÅ‚ Trzaskowski.
The exhumations are to start in the spring, so the noise seems unnecessary, but – as we hear – Nawrocki's staff wants to attract the anti-Ukrainian electorate of the Confederation. Hence the sharp criticism of the European Union.
PiS invited a group of diplomats to the Sejm, before whom Karol Nawrocki appeared. It was an opportunity for him to say a few words in English.
Braun is the next presidential candidate
Another presidential candidate will compete for the Confederation's electorate. – Yes, I will run as a candidate in these elections, with God's and human help – announced Grzegorz Braun, Confederation MEP.
Consternation in the Confederation. The party's candidate, SÅ‚awomir Mentzen, previously assured in “Super Express” that Braun would not run.
Bosak: there will be a motion to remove Braun from the ConfederationTVN24
– This is science fiction, nothing like this will happen – said SÅ‚awomir Mentzen, an MP from Confederation. Science fiction, i.e. films about aliens, do actually happen.
– We did not want or expect the scenario, and we do not think it is at all rational – said Krzysztof Bosak, deputy speaker of the Sejm from Confederation.
There are also two candidates on the left
SÅ‚awomir Mentzen said that he was not afraid that Grzegorz Braun would take away his voters and announced a campaign among people. – In squares, markets, city streets – he listed.
So just like the next candidate, but from the opposite side. – On the streets, at neighborhood meetings – announced Adrian Zandberg, MP from the Razem party.
The candidate of the Left comments on Zandberg's start by saying that the Left should not be divided. – This is a natural consequence of the decision made by the Razem party to leave the ruling coalition – said Magdalena Biejat, deputy speaker of the Senate from the Left.
Now candidates must collect 100,000 signatures. Who will collect signatures for Marshal HoÅ‚ownia – the candidate of the Third Way? – Volunteers, activists, ministers, MPs, myself personally – said Szymon HoÅ‚ownia, Speaker of the Sejm from Third Way.
Szymon Hołownia also announced that he would go to Poland.
