He already had 22 penalty points, and after this incident there were 10 more. An 18-year-old driver lost his driving license after a collision in Bieżuń (Masovian Voivodeship). The rally through the streets of the town ended between a power pole and the wall of a house.
The serious incident occurred on December 11, around 10 p.m. on Płocka Street in Bieżuń.
According to the police, the 18-year-old BMW driver lost control of the car on a bend in the road, drove onto the left side of the road, then onto the pavement, where the speeding car stopped at the same time on a power pole and the wall of a single-family house. A telecommunications box was also destroyed. The police gave the reasons as: excessive speed, recklessness and irresponsibility of the driver.
“According to the police officers handling the incident, the 18-year-old did not hide his surprise at the effects of his ride, although he could not explain the whole situation,” said Asp. Tomasz Łopiński from the District Police Headquarters in Żuromin.

He lost his driving license
Checking the police systems did not improve the 18-year-old's situation. “Although a resident of Żuromin County has had a driving license only since February, he has already accumulated 22 penalty points for other road traffic offenses,” Łopiński emphasized. This time, for causing a road collision, the young man was fined PLN 4,000 and received another 10 penalty points.
As a result, he lost his driving license. He exceeded the penalty point limit. “The 18-year-old will soon be re-examined, which will verify his knowledge as well as driving skills during the state exam,” Łopiński noted.
Two-year probation period
The police remind us that each young driver is subject to a two-year probation period. “This means that if he commits three traffic safety offenses during this time, his driving license will be revoked. Once again, we appeal for caution and prudence on the road,” they emphasized.
