The removal of the effects of Saturday's storm is underway in the Poświętne commune, Brudzewice – Kolonia and Brudzewice (Łódź Province). In the afternoon, strong winds destroyed several roofs of residential and farm buildings. Broken trees block national road 48.
As reported on social media by the Marshal's Office of the Łódź Province, roads and streets were flooded in the Piotrków and Radomsko counties after the storm, while a tornado hit the Opoczno county. In the towns of Brudzewice and Brudzewice Kolonia, the wind damaged the roofs of four houses and four farm buildings. Around 40 trees were blown down. The injured are still being helped by firefighters who are fighting flooding and removing the effects of the storm.
National road blocked
Due to the passage of the tornado, national road 48 is completely blocked. There are fallen trees and broken branches on the roadway. The route is blocked in both directions.
The services have introduced detours for drivers via local roads. National Road 48 may be blocked for several hours.
