FC Barcelona started the season with five victories and with 15 points and a very impressive goal difference of 17-4, they are leading in La Liga. They will soon start competing in the Champions League, but before that they have managed to surprise their fans.
FC Barcelona unveil third kit. “Highlights unique identity and history”
On Tuesday, the Catalans presented their third kit for the current season. It is in a light green tone, and the inspiration for this colour was, among others, the great successes of the FC Barcelona women's team, which last season won the championship and the Spanish Super Cup, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.
“This season's third kit symbolises prosperity, growth and progress in the fight for equality. Green, known for its association with hope and rebirth, represents a new era of equality and solidarity between women and reaffirms the club's commitment to a successful future,” reads the official Barcelona website. Jules Kounde, Inigo Martinez, Alejandro Balde and Fermin Lopez from the men's team took part in the kit presentation, while Alexia Putellas and Aitana Bonmati, two Ballon d'Or winners, were among the women's team.
“The kit was unveiled as part of the Together We Rise campaign, which highlights the unique identity, history and community of each club while celebrating women's football. Designed in close collaboration with clubs from across Europe and Latin America, the collection reflects Oregon's belief that women are at the forefront of change, redefining the parameters of the sport and how it serves the next generation,” it added.
A surprising element on the new FC Barcelona kit. Fans have issued their verdict
There is one more thing that catches the eye on the new kit. It is the “rotated” Nike logo, which is vertical, not horizontal as usual. This is an absolute novelty, introduced from this season. It can also be seen on the kits of other top European teams, including Liverpool, Inter Milan, Chelsea and Tottenham.
How did fans react to all these innovations? The comments on the X website are basically unambiguous. “Looks great, I love it”, “Fresh”, “Super hit”, “Absolutely wonderful”, “Beautiful color”, “Can't say anything bad” – we read. “The kit is a perfect combination of tradition and modernity, reflecting the spirit of FC Barcelona and the city it represents” – it added.
We will probably see the footballers in their new uniforms on the pitch soon. As for the team led by Hansi Flick, they will start their Champions League campaign on Thursday with a match against AS Monaco.
